For licensed practitioners · Compounded medications from partner 503A pharmacies
Where orders ship, how, and what happens if something goes wrong in transit.
Orders are shipped by the partner pharmacy that dispenses them, within the United States only. A pharmacy ships only to states where it holds the license to do so, and the portal checks this against each shipment's destination before an order can be submitted.
A prescription can ship to the practice or directly to the patient, as the prescriber chooses on each prescription.
The shipping service and its charge are shown for every shipment before the order is submitted, and appear as their own line on the invoice. Prescriptions from the same pharmacy going to the same destination are combined into one shipment where possible.
Products that must stay cold ship by an expedited service with cold packaging, chosen by the dispensing pharmacy.
Compounded medications are prepared after the prescription is accepted, so processing time is in addition to transit time. Preparation time varies by pharmacy and by product; your GC Scientific representative can confirm the current turnaround for the products you order.
Tracking appears on the order in the portal once the pharmacy ships.
Each product's beyond-use dating guidance and any supplies included with it are shown in the catalog and under BUD & Supplies in the portal. Beyond-use dates are set by the dispensing pharmacy and printed on the label.
If a shipment arrives damaged, warm when it should be cold, or does not arrive, tell us through the portal or by email with the order number. See Cancellation and refunds for how replacements and refunds work.
